  • Locker rooms  and other places a person may go barefoot, often breed fungus. Athlete's foot is caused by a certain type of fungus. Tea tree oil can help treat it by following these steps...

    Clean both feet thoroughly. Make sure to clean between the toes. Add tea tree oil directly to the feet and dust with corn starch after. It's best to do this before sleeping so the oil gets absorbed. Put socks on your feet while in bed. Do this once every two weeks.

  • Ginger is great tasting and used often in cooking. It has many health benefits

    too and can be consumed daily as a natural tonic.

    Here is how to make a ginger tea for an upset stomach...

    Cut 4 1/2 slices of ginger root

    to a pot of water. Bring to boil.  Add honey, cinnamon, and lemon for enhanced flavor. Drink 1-2 tea cups.

  • Most people know aloe vera as being a topical aid. It can also be taken orally for reducing a fever. Here is how...

    Cut all of the skin off and all other colored parts that surround the inner-clear gel. Cut the gel into tiny bits equaling a tablespoon worth. Then mix the cubes in a cup of hot tea. Drink at least two cups a day.

  • A common problem people have is dry scalp and other scalp related conditions. Use lavender oil on your scalp

    and this is how...

    Pre wet hair and towel dry. Mix 15 drops of lavender oil with 2 tablespoons of olive or almond oil. Microwave the mix for 10 seconds until it is warm on your wrist, NOT HOT.  Next, rub the oil into your scalp, let the oil set into your scalp for an hour,  and  then shampoo-out the oil. Do this for several treatments, twice a week to the benefits.

  • The mix of Echinacea, honey, and licorice make the perfect all-natural cough syrup. Here is the recipe...

    Ingredients:

    echinacea root, raw honey, licorice root, distilled water, cinnamon, and a jar.

     

    Combine and boil:

    1/2 cup echinacea

    1/2 cup licorice

    4 cups distilled water

    1/2 tablespoon cinnamon

     

    Once it starts boiling reduce heat to simmer for 45 minutes. Use a french press or cheesecloth to strain the liquid from the herbs. Then add  3/4 cup of raw honey. Stir.

     

    Take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day.

  • A tablespoon of cider vinegar a day helps cure problems with allergies, gout, and more. And, leg cramps...

    Super easy to make! Mix one tablespoon of cider vinegar with some honey to help the vinegar taste better. Drink that every night before bed.
